Marcy Italiano was born and raised in Hamilton, and now lives in Waterloo, Ontario , with her musician husband Giasone (but you can call him "G"), and Voodoo (a black cat they got on a Friday 13th). After receiving her English degree at Uof W in 1996 she is presently working as a Computer Instructor, while trying to pursue other interests in painting, yoga, watching football (NFL and CFL), and of course, writing.

She was ten years old when she wrote her first horror short story (see "Bedbugs" from the "Publications" page), which probably made her parents turn to each other and say, “She’s your kid.” By the time she reached her early twenties and joined the Horror Writers Association, nobody was surprised. The supernatural keeps her inspired, to say the least.
