Brian Stableford is a part-time Lecturer in Creative Writing at King Alfred's College Winchester, teaching on M.A. courses in "Writing for Children" and "Creative and Critical Writing". His most recent large-scale project was a future history series comprising Inherit the Earth (1998), Architects of Emortality (1999), The Fountains of Youth (2000), The Cassandra Complex (2001), Dark Ararat (2002) and The Omega Expedition (2002).


His 2003 publications include a US edition of Year Zero (Five Star; first published 2000), Swan Songs: The Complete Hooded Swan Collection (SF Book Club; omnibus of six books first published 1972-5) and Complications and Other Stories (Cosmos). Due in the near future are Kiss the Goat: A Twenty-first Century Ghost Story (Prime); a collection of translations of stories by Villiers de l'Isle Adam, Claire Lenoir and Other Stories (Tartarus Press); a set
of translations of Paul Feval's three vampire novels from Black Coat Press, including the previously-unpublished The Vampire Countess; and various other Cosmos publications. His current projects include the compilation of a Historical Dictionary of Science Fiction Literature for Scarecrow Press.
