Paul Tomlinson was born in Nottingham, England, in 1966. Trained as a librarian, he has worked for a green-grocer, an advertising agency, and a book supply company. He currently works as Acquisitions Manager for the library at Nottingham Trent University.

As a freelance writer, his articles and author interviews – with Harry Harrison, Terry Pratchett and Guy Gavriel Kay – have been published in Starlog and Starburst magazines, and his short story “In the Words of the Late, Great Woody Allen…,” appeared in the 1997 Eurocon programme book. In collaboration with Michael Carroll, he maintains the official Harry Harrison website at www.harryharrison.com, for which he has provided a number of articles, interviews, and a bibliography.

Aiming to concentrate of fiction writing in future, Paul Tomlinson has completed three manuscripts – a 'post-cyberpunk' robot novel, Telechir; a fantasy novel, Fortune's Fool; and most recently a crime novel, Multiple Stab Wounds – all of which have yet to find publishers…
